Luna & I made up our own Laundry Detergent this past month.

The small batch laundry recipe we used was.....
2 cups of grated all natural soap.
1 cup of borax
1 cup of baking soda
some patchouli to smell

We obviously used more, we had to make a months worth of detergent... :)  But the detergent cleaned everything better, made everything smell better, and we DID NOT have to purchase a chemical version of laundry soap housed in a plastic bottle! We used 2-4 TBSP per load.... depending on how dirty the clothing was.

We also made our own stain remover, as Luna is very very messy :) We used 2 parts hydrogen peroxide to 1 part homemade dish soap (or all natural biodegradable soap if you would rather). I put the mixture in a 1/2 cup mason jar & used a white cloth to apply, and it worked very well.

Dish Soap Recipe
1/2 cup liquid castille soap
1 TBSP White Vinegar
1 TBSP baking or washing soda
1/8 TSP tea tree oil

Pour Mix Into....
1/2 cup of hot water

Then Whisk away until your soap is SMOOOOOOOOTH :)

To Thicken to your liking...
Add 1 TBSP of shredded soap at a time until desired consistency

The Dreaded Plastics..........
My recipes for laundry soap use all cardboard or glass (essential oils)
Hydrogen Peroxcide & Liquid Castille Soap can only be found in disposable plastic bottles. I am trying to cut back on all plastics, well disposable plastics but ..... I am stuck with these two plastic bottles to find another purpose to reuse. lol
